Director of Ringing Bells who was behind Freedom 251 phones held by police
In November 2015, Noida-based Ringing Bells Had Promised To Sell The Smartphones At Rs 251 Apiece. The Sale Had Started In February Last Year. Hundreds Of Thousands Of People Had Pre-ordered The Phone, But So Far, It Has Failed To Deliver The Smartphones To Most Of Those Who Ordered Them.
Delhi Police on Thursday detained Mohit Goel, the director of Noida- based company Ringing Bells which had announced Freedom 251 smartphones at an astonishingly low price of Rs 251 apiece on allegations of fraud.
Ghaziabad-based Ayam Enterprises filed an FIR on Wednesday alleging that Ringing Bells “defrauded” it of Rs 16 lakh.In the FIR, Ayam Enterprises alleged Goel persuaded them to take up the distributorship of the Freedom 251 smartphones.
