Don't get distracted by Nobel citation's monetary value, Kailash Satyarthi to people involved in theft
Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Whose Nobel Citation Has Been Stolen From His Residence In Delhi, Appealed To The People Involved In Theft On Tuesday To Understand The Significance Of The Prize And Not Get Distracted By Its Monetary Value.
Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, whose Nobel citation has been stolen from his residence in Delhi, appealed to the people involved in theft on Tuesday to understand the significance of the prize and not get distracted by its monetary value.
“Appeal to conscience of people involved (in theft) to understand its (Nobel Prize) significance and not get distracted by its monetary value,” Satyarthi said.
He also said that a police probe has been initiated in the matter.
“A police probe has been initiated and I have complete faith in the authorities and the legal bodies of our country,” he said.
Satyarthi’s house in southeast Delhi was burgled and his Nobel citation was allegedly stolen, police said on Tuesday.

Police said they received a call about the alleged theft of the citation and teams are at the spot to get details of the items stolen.Satyarthi is currently abroad, they said.
The child rights activist won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. He shared the prize with Pakistan’s Malala Yousafzai.
