Drones to have unique identification number says DGCA
Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Commonly Known As Drones Will Now Have Unique Identification Numbers According To The Final Draft Prepared By Directorate General Of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), commonly known as drones will now have unique identification numbers according to the final draft prepared by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The civil aviation ministry on Wednesday unveiled the draft made by DGCA for the usage of drones by civilians in the country.
Civil Aviation Secretary RN Choubey said, “The rules drafted are very very user friendly. The norms have been drafted after extensive consultations internally.”
He added that nano drones weighing 250 grams will be exempt from seeking one time approval and issuance of unique identification number.
The secretary added that 50 kilometers areas from the international border will be no drone zone. “The restrictions made for drone flying is looking into the security perspective,” said Choubey.
