Earthquake: Tremors felt in several parts of western Odisha
According To A Local News Portal, People Residing In The Affected Areas Felt Strong Tremors For A Few Seconds On Wednesday Evening, After Which Many Of Them Rushed Out Of Their Residences.
Several parts of western Odisha, including Sambalpur, Kuchinda, Deogarh, Rourkela, Bonai and Jharsuguda, were jolted by an earthquake on Wednesday, according to reports. According to a local news portal, people residing in the affected areas felt strong tremors for a few seconds on Wednesday evening, after which many of them rushed out of their residences.
"I was studying at home when our house started to shake. Later, all my family members came out of the house,” a Jharsuguda resident Lizalin Nayak was quoted as saying by Odisha TV.
The earthquake reportedly hit the region at around 5:48 pm and lasted for a few seconds, local news portals reported.
According to the last reports, there has been no damage to property or casualty in any of the places.
