ED arrests Misa Bharti’s charted accountant in money laundering case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) Had Opposed The Bail Plea Of Jain Brothers, Arrested In Connection With Its Probe In A Rs 8,000-crore Money Laundering And Black Money Racket Case, Saying That Economic Offences Need To Be Dealt With Sternly.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday arrested Misa Bharti’s charted accountant Rajesh Agarwal in connection with money trail scam. The ED officials would produce him in Patiala house court. The ED will try to get his remand for further investigation.
Agarwal was arrested in money laundering case related to two Delhi-based businessmen SK Jain and Virendra who were lodged in jail for converting unaccounted money into share premium.
ED had charged, saying that Jain Brothers were providing accommodation entries by accepting funds from their beneficiaries through mediators and converting the same into share premium transactions in the beneficiary company. In this process, Jain Brothers earned money as a certain percentage of the unaccounted money converted into share premium.
In April, The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had opposed the bail plea of Jain brothers, arrested in connection with its probe in a Rs 8,000-crore money laundering and black money racket case, saying that economic offences need to be dealt with sternly.
