Accusing Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi of his conduct during the 2002 riots, former Gujarat DGP R B Sreekumar filed a criminal defamation case against the leader and other party figures on Tuesday.
The Patiala House court will hear the matter on Thursday.
He has also in the past raised serious questions regarding Modi's role in alleged fake encounters.
