Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, in an exclusive interview with News Nation's Meetu Jain, hailed the Narendra Modi government's move of demonetisation and said it will bring achche din for the country.
He said that people living in slums are happy with the currency ban move and have been supporting the government. "This is an indication of coming of acche din," he told News Nation.
He also said that he even used card to buy tea in flight. "I first asked whether they will accept old notes or not, they said no, so I used the card."
On BJP's victory in Chandigarh, Gadkari said had the people been unhappy with notes ban the party would not have win. "This clearly reveals that people are in favour of the demonetisation decision," he said.
