Finance Minister Arun Jaitley suffering from kidney disease
Due To The Deteriorating Health, The Finance Minister Didn’t Even Take Part In The Oath-taking Ceremony After Being Re-elected As Rajya Sabha MP From Uttar Pradesh.
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is suffering from a kidney disease and may have to undergo a surgery, sources close to him told news agency PTI.
Sixty-five-year-old Jaitley was undergoing diagnostic tests and doctors hinted that it was a kidney-related ailment, the agency quoted sources as saying.
So far, Jaitley has not been admitted to the hospital but doctors advised him to stay indoors and avoid going out in public for fear of infection.
Due to the deteriorating health, the finance minister didn’t even take part in the oath-taking ceremony after being re-elected as Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh.
The disease could be a fallout of the bariatric surgery Jaitley had undergone in 2014, days after the BJP government came to power in the country, according to the sources.
The doctors from AIIMS are attending to Jaitley at his residence. A final call is yet to be taken on whether a kidney transplant is required or not, the sources said.
