Major blow to Yogi Adityanath govt, Allahabad High Court reinstates removed Shia Waqf Board members
Yogi Adityanath Government Had Removed Six Members Of UP Shia Waqf Board On Charges Of Rampant Corruption On June 16. However, The Court On Friday Reinstated All The Six Members And Stayed The Government Order.
In a major blow to Yogi Adityanath govt, the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court on Friday stayed a UP govt's decision to remove 6 members of Shia Waqf Board from their positions. The HC has also ordered to reinstate all the six members of Shia Waqf Board.
Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh had on June 16 dissolved the Shia and Sunni Waqf Boards in the state in wake of rampant corruption. The govt had also removed six Shia Waqf Board members- Akhtar Hasan Rizvi, Sayed Haider, Asaf Zaidi, Molana Aseem Hussain Zaidi, Aleema Zaidi and Nazmul Hasan Rizvi without giving any notice.
The court also asked the govt that how have they been removed without any notice?
Days after assuming the office Yogi Aditya Nath government had received a lot of complaints of corruption in both Shia and Sunni Waqf Boards. the state govt then ordered CWC to probe the matter.
The CWC in its probe report found rampant corruption during the previous regime under Azam khan's portfolio.
