A one-and-a-half years old lion cub was rescued from a well after a four-hour-long operation by forest department officials in Amreli district.
The cub fell into a 60-feet deep well filled with water in Aadsanda village in Savarkundla tehsil on Friday and
it was rescued after a four-hour long operation, Rambhai More, range forest officer, told PTI on Sunday.
More headed the rescue efforts.
The cub did not suffer any injuries when it was pulled out of the well with the help of a wooden cot, he said.
It was reunited with its mother yesterday, the forest officer said.
