Four Cabinet Committees rearranged after Venkaiah Naidu’s resignation
After Former Information And Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu Resigned, In Order To Contest Vice-presidential Election, Four Key Cabinet Committees Were Restructured Today.
After Former Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu resigned, in order to contest vice-presidential election, four key Cabinet Committees were restructured today.
Naidu was member of Cabinet Committee on Accommodation, Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs and Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs.
The Cabinet Secretariat has issued updated composition of all committees of Cabinet. Naidu's name has been removed from these four committees, as per the new composition. There has been no change other Cabinet Committees.
There are six Cabinet Committees including the Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) and the Cabinet Committee on Security. Three Cabinet Committees were restructured in March this year after Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar had resigned and took over as Goa Chief Minister
