Gautam Budh Nagar DM asked industrialists to go green
National Green Tribunal Has Issued Directions For Conversion To CNG For Which IGL Is Supplying Piped Gas. Industrialists Should Switch To Green Fuel And Help In Checking Environmental Pollution, The Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate Said.
The district administration of Gautam Budh Nagar today appealed the industrialists to switch to green fuels and install effluent treatment plants, to help prevent environmental pollution.
Industries using petro products for generators and machineries are causing environmental pollution, N P Singh, the Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate said during a review meeting of district environment committee at the collectorate here.
National Green Tribunal has issued directions for conversion to CNG for which IGL is supplying piped gas.
Industrialists should switch to green fuel and help in checking environmental pollution, he said.
Singh also directed transport and pollution department to check vehicular pollution. Tree plantation, which makes air fresh and breathable, also helps in checking environment pollution, he said.
