Girl suffers burn injuries in an acid attack by a rejected suitor
A 25-year-old Girl Who Was Attacked Allegedly By A Suitor She Had Rejected On Tuesday, Suffered Burn Injuries In Kupwara District Of Jammu And Kashmir, Police Said.
A 25-year-old girl who was attacked allegedly by a suitor she had rejected on Tuesday, suffered burn injuries in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Ajaz Ahmad Dar, a lorry driver by profession, threw acid on the girl at Langate in Kupwara after she rejected his marriage proposal, a police official said.
He said the girl's face and body suffered partial burn injuries in the attack and she was rushed to a hospital for treatment where her condition is stated to be stable.

While the accused is at large, his friend Abbas Najar, who brought the acid to the scene of the incident, has been arrested, the official said.
He added that police have formed special teams to nab the culprit.
