Goa Election Results 2017: Congress takes back lead over BJP, CM Laxmikant Pareskar defeated
The Congress Party Is Leading In 13 Seats And Its Former CM Pratap Singh Rane Has Won From Poiem. BJP Is Ahead In 10 Seats. Naresh Rajaram Sawal And Deepak Chandrakant Prabhu Of MGP Was Also Leading In 2 Seats.
The latest trends for the counting of votes for Goa Assembly elections show a lead for the Congress Party. The Congress is leading on 13 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 12, Others on 8. In a setback to BJP, Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar was humbled in his sitting seat Mandrem by Congress candidate Dayanand Sopte, as the ruling and opposition parties appeared locked in a close fight, going by results and trends from all the 40 segments.

The new entrant to the electoral scene in the coastal state, the AAP is no where in the scene and the party was trailing in all constituencies. AAP's CM candidate for the state, Elvis Gomes, was trailing at third no. in Cuncolim constituency.
The BJP fielded candidates in 36 constituencies and supported Independents in the remaining seats while the new entrant to the electoral scene in the coastal state, the AAP has contested in 39 seats and the leaders who campaigned for the party included Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.Seems like the infights within the Goa RSS doing damage for BJP.
