Google dedicates its doodle to Nasa's exoplanet discovery
Google On Thursday Dedicated A Doodle To The Discovery That Shows A Telescope Looking Out Towards Space From A Circle, Representing The Earth, With The Moon By Its Side.
In one of the biggest announcement ever made by NASA, scientists have discovered seven Earth-size planets around a cool, dwarf star which may be capable of holding life.
Google dedicated a doodle to the discovery that shows a telescope looking out towards space from a circle, representing the earth, with the moon by its side.
The Google alters it's logo on Google's homepage to mark the celebration of holidays, achievements, events and people. And on Thursday the web giant pulled out all the stops to help commemorate this huge discovery with an animated Doodle by artist Nate Swinehart .
According to a NASA scientist, it has been found that this cluster of planets is less than 40 light-years away in the constellation Aquarius.Out of the seven new planets discovered three of these planets are firmly located in the habitable zone, the area around the parent star where a rocky planet is most likely to have liquid water.

The discovery sets a new record for greatest number of habitable-zone planets found around a single star outside our solar system.
All of these seven planets could have liquid water – key to life as we know it – under the right atmospheric conditions, but the chances are highest with the three in the habitable zone.
