Google Wishes India On 73rd Independence Day With A Traditional Motifs Doodle
Google has joined India in celebrating its 73rd Independence Day with a beautiful doodle. The doodle is illustrated by Shaivalini Kumar that portrays traditional motifs from the field of Indian Textile. This basically showcases diversified yet harmonious “patchwork” of Indian tradition and culture, stretching from the field of Arts to Education. The doodle also signifies India’s courage and compassion in doing every work.
Meanwhile, India’s 1.3 billion citizens took part and celebrated the 73rd Independence Day festival with alacrity. The tricolor was hoisted at Delhi’s Red Fort by Prime Minister, Nardendra Modi. Subsequently, Narendra Modi also addressed the nation from the ramparts of the monument at 7:30 AM.
In addition to this, the tricolor was also hoisted today across the country with the national anthem being played simultaneously. Right from parades, cultural events and award ceremonies are also held in the momentous occasion across the nation.
It was at the Red Fort where all service personnel in uniform stood and took positions to salute the tricolor soon after it was unfurled with the national anthem being played.
On this day, India got independence from the British Rule in 1947 after a 200 year rule. Today, it is also everyone’s duty to pay his/her tribute to Indian Freedom Fighters and everyone who took part in India’s freedom struggle.
