Governor seeks report on incidents in Tamil Nadu Assembly during trust vote
Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao Met With A Delegation Led By Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami And Later With DMK Rajya Sabha Members Representing The Party’s Working President M K Stalin. A Rival Faction Led By O Panneerselvam Also Called On The Governor.
Tamil Nadu governor Vidyasagar Rao on Sunday directed TN Assembly secretary AMP Jamaludeen to send him ‘a factual report’ of the incidents that took place in the House on Saturday during the motion for trust.
Palaniswami won the trust vote by a 122-11 margin, the proceedings were marred by pandemonium that saw the Opposition DMK evicted by the Speaker. The Congress too had walked out. DMK’s 88 members were ordered to be evicted by Speaker P Dhanapal after they indulged in a ruckus.
