Gujarat Assembly elections: Campaigning for second phase ends
On December 14, Voters Of Remaining 93 Assembly Seats In 14 Districts Of North And Central Gujarat Will Cast Their Votes. Polling Will Be Held At 25,575 Booths.
Campaigning for the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly Elections ended on Tuesday evening for legislative seats where polling would be held on December 14.
On December 14, voters of remaining 93 Assembly seats in 14 districts of North and Central Gujarat will cast their votes. Polling will be held at 25,575 booths.
The Assembly Election is considered as high stake for BJP as it is the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and for Congress because it has been out of power for over two decades in the state.
A total of 851 candidates are in the election fray including deputy chief minister Nitin Patel , Minister Bhupendra Chudasama, Shankar Chaudhary, Pradeepsinh Jadeja, Alpesh Thakor, Siddharth Patel, Jignesh Mewani.

BJP has fielded 93 candidates, Congress 81, BSP 75, NCP 28, JDU 14, Shiv Sena 17, AAP 8, regional parties 170 and 350 independents.
Around 22296867 voters including 10748977 females and 455 third gender will cast their votes in the last phase.
The second phase of campaigning saw scathing attacks and counter attacks from BJP and Congress.
