A body of a woman in her mid-thirties was found stuffed in a suitcase in Haryana’s Rewari district on Monday.
Police said, “The suitcase was found lying abandoned near roadside drain alongside a road in Bawal town. Few people opened the suitcase to learn about its owners. On opening it, to their shock they found mutilated body of the woman packed in the bag.”
“On seeing the cloth, it seems the victim is from a middle class family,” added police.
A senior officer deployed at Bawal town said that the woman had several injury marks in her body.
Police have lodged an FIR against unknown persons under relevant IPC sections including 302 and 201.
Bawal police station-in-charge Deepak Kumar said, “Reasons behind the killing will only be clear once we identify the victim.”
