96-year-old Hashim Ansari, oldest litigant in Babri Masjid case, passed away on Wednesday early morning. He was suffering from illness from past few days.Hashim Ansari was admitted to a hospital in Lucknow after he reported chest pain a few days ago.He had expressed unhappiness over the politicisation of the Babri Masjid case.On December 6, 1992, a large crowd of of ‘Hindu Kar Sevaks’ destroyed the 16th-century Babri Masjid. The site was turned into rubble within few hours.
