With assembly elections approaching the state next week, the politics in Himachal Pradesh has intensified and both BJP and Congress are extensively trying to woo their voters.
Both parties have declared their election manifesto and made many tall promises to the people of Himachal Pradesh if elected to power.
While BJP played its tried and tasted corruption card, the Congress has pitched for farmers and employment to beat the heat of ant-incumbency.

Congress manifesto for Himachal Pradesh elections:
# The Congress party has promised to give interest-free loans to farmers.
# 90% subsidy on seeds, fertilizer, insecticides, farming equipment, ground fencing & rain water harvesting.
# Free Laptops will be awarded to the students who perform well in their board exams.
# The party will provided jobs to 1 lakh youths if elected back to power.
# Minimum wage for daily laborers will be increased to 350 per day.
# The party has also promised to regularize contract workers.
# Old pension scheme will be resumed for the government employees who were recruited after 2003.
BJP manifesto for Himachal Pradesh elections:
# Joint task force will be constituted to tackle the illegal mining.
# The information of property of BJP MLAs will be made public.
# Income of farmers will be double by 2022.
# Women police station and helpline will be founded under ‘Gudiya’ scheme.
# Heli-ambulance service will be started for emergency situations.
