Hyderabad: Police arrest 2 professors for sending obscene material to girl students
Two Assistant Professors And An Office Assistant Of A Private Engineering College In Hyderabad Have Been Booked By Rachakonda Police For Allegedly Sending Obscene Material Through Whatsapp To A Section Of Girl Students.
Two assistant professors and an office assistant of a private engineering college in Hyderabad have been booked by Rachakonda police for allegedly sending obscene material through Whatsapp to a section of girl students.
According to Abdullapurmet Sub-Inspector B Sreenu, police are in the process of arresting the trio as college students demanded immediate action against the accused.
Saidi Reddy and Gopi- both assistant professors in Electronics and Communication Departments—and Osman, office assistant were terminated by the administration, a senior official from the college, said.
The students, who are pursuing courses in various branches of engineering, alleged that the teachers and the official were harassing them for quite sometime.
We have booked cases under Sections 354 D (monitors woman through internet, e-mail or any other form of electronic communication, commits the offence of stalking) among other relevant sections against them. We may arrest them soon, the police official said.
