Dr Nirala said, “I was waiting for my flight and crying because I wanted to reach my family, so I approached Minister KJ Alphons, thinking a minister can do everything.” “We all have our own set of problems and it is wrong to disturb the schedule of others for the sake of just one individual. This VVIP culture should be stopped,” added Nirala. Nirala, who is a doctor, on Wednesday, had lashed out at Union Minister KJ Alphons Kannanthanam at Imphal Airport as her flight got delayed due to the VVIP arrival schedule the video of which has been shared on many news sites. Shortly after the incident, Alphons clarified his stand. He said that apart from the Prime Minister and the President, there is no protocol for any minister that requires the flights to be delayed or cancelled.
