Indo-Pak dialogue only way forward: Pak High Commissioner Basit
In An Interview With A News Channel, The High Commissioner Said The Issues Between The Two Countries Could Only Be Resolved Through Talks.
Indo-Pak dialogue is the only way to move forward to resolve long-standing issues, opined Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit. In an interview with a news channel, the high commissioner said the issues between the two countries could only be resolved through talks. In reference to Indo-Pak dispute over former Naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, the high commissioner said he had been convicted for espionage and appeal was submitted to the appellate court on his behalf.
He said commander Jadhav had confessed all wrongdoings and Pakistan was confident that he had been involved in subversive activities.Meanwhile, a Pakistani political party named JSMM has alleged that Pakistan govt drummed up charges against Jadhav to sabotage India''s position in the world arena. In a letter written to ICJ, the party said, "Kulbhushan Jadhav case is an unjust example of "innocent Indian commoner, around whom Pakistani State has hurled a fake and fabricated tale of espionage to justify its allegation of Indian involvement in its affairs in front of the world and to take it as a justification to sponsor its religious proxy terrorism against India."
