The Navy Personnel Performed Yoga On The Indian Naval Ship Jalashwa And Kirch In The Bay Of Bengal, On The Third Edition Of International Yoga Day.
The Navy personnel performed Yoga on the Indian Naval Ship Jalashwa and Kirch in the Bay of Bengal, on the third edition of International Yoga Day on Wednesday.
'Yoga for Harmony and Peace' is this year's theme and the programme was scheduled from 7:00 am to 7:45 am on Wednesday.
Yoga asanas were also performed onboard aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya on Wednesday.
Talking about the main event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lead thousands of Yoga enthusiasts at Ramabai Ambedkar maidan in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and performed asanas to mark the International Yoga Day.
In Delhi, Yoga events were performed at numerous places including Lodhi Garden, Talkatora Garden, Childrens' Park and Connaught Place. Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and other leaders also perfomed Yoga at Connaught Place where the main event of Delhi was held. Around 10,000 people participated in the event.
