Irom Sharmila, who broke her 16-year-old fast demanding repeal of the Armed Forces Special Power Act, on Tuesday appeared before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West, Lamkhanpau Tonsing.
The court had on August 9 released her on bail on a personal bond of Rs 10,000 after she gave the assurance that she would end her fast.
Sharmila has been asked to appear before the same court on September 5, a court source said.
She was taken back to the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital where she is getting treatment, a hospital source said.
Asked by reporters outside the court about her fast, the Iron Lady of Manipur repeated what she had said on August 9 that she had to break her fast since it had not helped her cause of getting AFSPA repealed.
