IT raids find Rs 50 crore worth undisclosed properties and investment from Superintendent Engineer in UP Irrigation Department
According To A Senior IT Official, Superintendent Engineer Had Made Shell Companies In The Name Of His Brother And Brother-in-law.
Income Tax Department has found more than Rs 50 crore worth of undisclosed properties and investment of Superintendent Engineer in Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department Rajeshwar Singh Yadav, says an IT Official On Friday, IT Department raided 22 locations in 7 cities including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, and Etah. During the raids, IT Department recovered cash and jewelry totaling around Rs 2.5 crores. Raids were also conducted on brother and brother-in-law of Superintendent Engineer. According to a senior IT Official, Superintendent Engineer had made shell companies in the name of his brother and brother-in-law. During the raids on the premises of his brother-in-law in Gurugram, IT Department found 2 briefcases containing cash amounting to Rs 25 lakh and jewelry. Several documents of undeclared properties and investment in the stock market were also found, said a senior IT Official.
