ITBP jawan injured in IED blast in Chhattisgarh
An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Jawan Was Injured In An IED Blast Triggered By Naxals, In Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur District Today. The Incident Occurred Near Kurusnar Police Camp When A Team Of Security Forces Was Patrolling Near The Under-construction Narayanpur-Sonpur Road, A Senior Police Official Told PTI.
An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawan was injured in an IED blast triggered by Naxals, in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district today. The incident occurred near Kurusnar police camp when a team of security forces was patrolling near the under-construction Narayanpur-Sonpur road, a senior police official told PTI.
When the Road Opening Party was cordoning off the area close to Kurusnar camp, rebels detonated the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) causing minor injuries to constable Menda Malesh, he said. The ultras fled from the spot after the incident, he added.
“Malesh was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition was said to be normal,” the officer said. The jawan belongs to ITBP’s 46th battalion. A combing operation has been launched in the area to nab the ultras, he added.
