Watch: Jaish planning big strike on India; Parliament, Akshardham, Lotus Temple on target
According To Information Obtained By Newsnation, Indian Intelligence Agencies, Crime Investigation Department And Research And Analyses Wing, Have Intercepted Chatter That JeM Cadre Might Be Planning Revenge After India’s Surgical Strikes In Pakistan On September 28.
Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Muhammed might be planning to target Indian Parliament according to chatter intercepted by intelligence agencies. According to information obtained by Newsnation, Indian intelligence agencies, Crime Investigation Department and Research and Analyses Wing, have intercepted chatter that JeM cadre might be planning revenge after India’s surgical strikes in Pakistan on September 28. Maulana Masood Azhar, chief of the Pakistan-based terror outfit, is thinking about attacking Indian Parliament, again.A Jaish module led by Afzal Guru had targeted Parliament in 2001. The reports suggest that ‘Jaish is planning a "spectacular attack" and that operatives have been asked to make every attempt possible to once again target Parliament’. Chatter picked by the agencies suggests that if the fidayeen fail to target Parliament, they should attempt to attack the Delhi Secretariat. Also on the target list are Akshardham and the Lotus Temple, documents with the intelligence agencies suggest.
Apart from JeM, another terror outfit Jaish-ul-Tanzim, led by Maulana Abdul Rahman, may also attaempt to attack the Parliament.
According to Jaish handlers, the operatives should launch their attacks in crowded places, such as markets, only if they fail to target places of prominence. This intelligence has been communicated to field officers and attempts are being made to foil any such attempt.Delhi has not witnessed a terror blast since September 7, 2011.
