CRPF Jawan Of 181 Battalion, Riyaz Ahmed, Who Was Injured In Budgam Grenade Blast Last Week, Succumbed To His Injuries On Wednesday.
CRPF jawan of 181 battalion, Riyaz Ahmed, who was injured in Budgam grenade blast last week, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.
"Head constable Riyaz Ahmed had serious splinter injuries, it had gone through his skull and affected his brain; great loss," said CRPF Director General Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar.
"I salute my brave soldier, we are sure he will be an inspiration to all of us," said CRPF DG.
Head constable was laid to rest in Srinagar.
Earlier on Monday, four Security forces personnel injured in a grenade attack by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam. Terrorists hurled a grenade at a road opening party of CRPF and police at Batpora in Magam area, 20 kilometres from Srinagar.
Three CRPF personnel and a local policeman were among injured in the attack. All the injured were taken to SKIMS Medical College hospital at Bemina for treatment.
