An encounter breaks out between security forces and terrorists in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. 2-3 terrorists are believed to be trapped in the encounter.

Earlier on Wednesday, an encounter between security forces and terrorists broke out on Wednesday in Kakpora's Banderpora in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. LeT commander Ayub Lelhari was killed in the encounter.
Earlier on Sunday, at least three terrorists including chief operations commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Yaseen Itoo were killed in an encounter with security forces in Awneera village of Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian.
