JD(U)'s ghar wapsi, national executive passes resolution to join Modi-led NDA
In A National Executive Meeting Of JD(U) That Took Place On Saturday In Patna, Nitish Kumar Faction Passed A Resolution To Formally Join National Democratic Alliance Or NDA.
In a major political development amid split talks, Nitish Kumar-led Janta Dal (United) has come back in the folds of BJP-led NDA after four years circa. In a national executive meeting of JD(U) that took place on Saturday in Patna, Nitish Kumar faction passed a resolution to formally join Narendra Modi National Democratic Alliance or NDA.
The patch up between decade old partners came amid separation talks in the party as Sharad Yadav who had gone rebel ever since Nitish Kumar ditched Mahagathbandhan or Grand Alliance with RJD and Congress to join hands with BJP.
After the announcement, security beefed up outside Chief Minister's house in Patna in wake of protest by Sharad Yadav's supporters.
Earlier in the day, JDU leader KC Tyagi suggesting Sharad Yadav not to attend Lalu Yadav’s programme said, he can sort out the differences by expressing his views on party forum.
“Sharad Yadav is invited for the JD(U) national executive meet and he can sort out differences, but he shouldn’t attend Lalu Yadav’s programme. We will lose our faith in him, if he does so. He is one of the founders of the party, therefore, he can put forward his views in the meeting,” Tyagi said before JDU's national executive meet.
Tyagi also maintained that although Sharad Yadav is not happy with party's decision, there is no rift in the party.
However, Sharad Yadav is also holding a parallel meeting with his loyalists in the party and expected to make another big announcement. The faction which claims to be the "real" Janta Dal is likely to claim the arrow symbol of JDU.
