Jessop factory fire case: West Bengal CID arrests Pavan Ruia from Delhi
The State Government And The Fire Department Had Filed Non-bailable FIRs Against Pawan Ruia Shortly After Ordering A CID Probe Into The Incident Of Fire Which Gutted The Paint Shop And Coach Factory Section Of The 196-year Old Factory On October 16 This Year.
West Bengal CID arrested Ruia Group chairman Pavan Ruia from his New Delhi residence for his alleged involvement in the fire incident at the closed unit of Jessop & Co factory at Dum Dum in Kolkata.
The state government and the fire department had filed non-bailable FIRs against Pawan Ruia shortly after ordering a CID probe into the incident of fire which gutted the paint shop and coach factory section of the 196-year old factory on October 16 this year.
Shortly after ordering a CID probe into the incident of fire which gutted the Jessop & Co factory at Dum Dum in Kolkata, the state government and the fire department have filed non-bailable FIRs against its promoter Pawan Ruia, opening up a debate about the ownership of the company.
While the state government moved ahead to issue FIRs against Ruia terming him to be in-charge of Jessop, the Ruia Group bounced back stating that he is no longer associated with the company.
