An encounter broke out on Thursday out between security forces and terrorists at Shahgund Hajin in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Two soldiers -- Naik Madan Singh and Sepoy H Krishna got injured in the firing by militants, who managed to escape from the spot. Injured jawans were evacuated to Army's 92 Base Hospital here for treatment.
Security forces cordoned off the area after specific intelligence inputs on the presence of militants in Shahgund village of Hajin area of the district.
During the search operation by security forces, militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.
