A 24-year-old man tried to take his life claiming that he is being forced by some ‘vicious’ forces to become a terrorist. The man identified as Sharanappa Nagarla wrote a suicidal note and then consumed poison. In the letter, Nagarla wrote that he is being forced, against his wishes to plant bombs at several places including colleges in Mysore on the New Year’s Eve. He also alleged that he was being administered shock treatment. He was admitted to a local government hospital in a critical condition from where his family took him to Bagalkot Hospital for further treatment. Gadag SP says the man is suffering from a psychiatric disorder and did all this because of his mental condition which is beyond his control.
Suicide note transcript
I am taking this decision so nothing bad happens from my end. They will know that I am here if I continue being here, I don't know how. The God that created me is the God that created them but don't know why they are behaving this way. Let these b******* learn a lesson from this that we Indians are willing to die but won't take another life.
