Karunanidhi no more: Tamil Nadu to observe seven days mourning; holiday tomorrow

Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday announced a seven-day mourning to mark the demise of former chief minister and DMK chief president M Karunanidhi.
“Tamil Nadu government announces seven-day mourning after Karunanidhi’s death; national flag to fly at half mast,” PTI quoted Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan as saying.

Government offices and educational institutions in the state will remain closed on Wednesday, according to sources.

Karunanidhi passed away at 6.10 pm on Tuesday at Kauvery Hospital in Chennai. He was 94.
