Kashmir Policeman decamps with four service rifles, forces launch manhunt
Naveed Fled Away With 04 SLR Rifles Along With Ammunition Including His Own Weapon And Rifles Of Other Police Personnel.
A Jammu and Kashmir Policeman decamped with four self-loading rifles and ammunition from a Food Cooperation of India godown in Budgam.
According to the sources, Constable Syed Naveed Mushtaq joined the Police force in 2012 and was posted at the FCI godown in Budgam’s Nassalpora from where he decamped with four service rifles.
Naveed fled away with 04 SLR rifles along with ammunition including his own weapon and rifles of other police personnel.
Sources in police said that two friends of constable came to the godown and when the other policemen led a joint prayer, the constable and his friends fled away.
The security forces have launched a massive manhunt to trace the missing policeman and his accomplice who run away in a private vehicle.
Earlier in 2015, a policeman Naseer Ahmad Pandit who was posted at the house of the then J&K Roads and Building minister Altaf Bukhari decamped with two rifles and joined terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen.
