Kerala Police arrests three youths for having ISIS links
A Senior Police Officer Of Kannur District Said, “We Kept A Close Watch On The Three. Especially Their Online Activities.'
Police arrested three youths from north Kerala for having alleged links with international terror group ISIS. The three men in their early twenties were in the police radar from last four months and were arrested on Wednesday evening.
The three youths have been identified as Mithilaj KC, Abdul Razak KV and Rasheed MV.
According to police the three had returned from Turkey around four months back. The four were then deported from Turkey after they were apprehended on their way to Syria.
A senior police officer of Kannur district said, “We kept a close watch on the three. Especially their online activities.”
“We had noticed that the three had been active on websites having connection with the ISIS. The police is interrogating them for further details,” he added.

The officer added that it is yet not clear how the three youths were indoctrinated to the international terrorist group.
“We are probing to find out the people who were engaged in indoctrinating the three and funding them for their travel to Syria,” added the officer.
The Kerala Police has charged them under anti-terror law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
According to reports, more than 100 youths from India have left for Syria and Iraq to join ISIS.
The National Investigation Agency is currently probing disappearance of at least 21 people who are suspected to have joined ISIS. In most of the cases family members of the disappeared have approached the police.
