A member of the staff of the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission was found hanging inside his flat in the southern part of the city on Tuesday, police said.
Azizul Islam (50), a Bangladeshi national and staff of Bangladesh Deputy High Commission, was found hanging inside his flat at 43, Lower Range at Beckbagan.
He was declared brought dead when taken to the Calcutta National Medical College, they said.
“There were no external marks of injury of any kind on his body. A post mortem is being done and our DD team has initiated investigating the matter,” a senior police officer said.
