KS Dwivedi to be new DGP of Bihar, to take charge on March 1
Dwivedi Is An IPS Officer Of The 1984 Batch. He Was The Superintendent Of Police (SP) Of Bhagalpur During The Infamous 1989 Riots And Was Even Indicted By The Inquiry Commission Later.

KS Dwivedi is all set to become the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Bihar. He will take charge from March 1. Dwivedi will take over the post from currently appointed PK Thakur.
Dwivedi is an IPS officer of the 1984 batch. He was the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bhagalpur during the infamous 1989 riots and was even indicted by the Inquiry Commission later.
The current DGP of Bihar, PK Thakur will retire on February 28, thus Dwivedi taking over the post from March 1. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave priority to Dwivedi under the guidance of the Bihar Police Manual.
KS Dwivedi is presently on the post of Director General (DG) of Training.
