Last day of 36th India International Trade Fair on Sunday; Know time, venue and other details
With Great Fanfare, IITF 2016 Was Inaugurated By President Pranab Mukherjee In The National Capital’s Pragati Maidan.
After 13 days of fan fair and extravaganza, The 36th India International Trade Fair (IITF) is going to end on Sunday. Commencing on November 14th, this year’s annual trade show featured ‘Digital India’ as its theme. Heavy rush is expected on the last day, as Delhi Police has already issued a traffic advisory for the same.
Currency overhaul by the government seems to have widely affected this year’s trade fair, as exhibitors and traders were clearly upset over low sales volume due to the prevailing cash crunch.
With great fanfare, IITF 2016 was inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee in the national capital’s Pragati Maidan.
President in the opening ceremony had observed that "digital technologies, e-commerce, e-enabled and mobile services are major components of e-governance and will over the time contribute significantly to GDP growth."

This year, the India International Trade Fair has over 150 companies who have participated from 27 countries. With 7000 participants in an exhibition area of more than 1 lakh square metre, this year’s theme is built around government's digital India programme whose aims it boosts manufacturing sector in India, the country needs to increase its energy resources without compromising on the environmental aspects.
To boost more footfalls, as India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) has also developed a mobile application to provide all details including contact access to exhibitor list, generation information. ITPO has for the first time introduced online space booking system.

Price of entry ticket: Rs. 60 on weekdays for adults and Rs. 120 on weekends and holidays.
