A TADA court on Thursday pronounced sentence against five convicts in the 1993 Mumbai blast case. The court awarded Abu Salem and Karimullah Khan life imprisonment while Tahir Merchant and Firoz Abdul Rashid Khan were awarded death penalty.
The 1993 Mumbai serial blasts considered as one of the most dreaded terror attacks on Indian soil left 257 people dead and over 700 injured. Thhe court had already convicted six persons including mastermind Mustafa Dossa and extradited gangster Abu Salem in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
