ATM cash withdrawal limit hiked from Rs 4,500 to Rs 10,000 for savings; current account holders can withdraw up to Rs 1 Lakh per week
The Government On Monday Hiked The ATM Withdrawal Limit From Rs 4,500 To Rs 10,000 Per Week For Savings Accounts And Rs 50,000 To Rs 1,00,000 For Current Accounts.
The Government on Monday hiked the ATM withdrawal limit from Rs 4,500 to Rs 10,000 per week for savings accounts and Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000 for current accounts.
However, the weekly limit of Rs 24,000 on each saving account still holds.
The RBI notification on the enhancement of the ATM cash withdrawal limit read:
(i) The limit on withdrawals from ATMs has been enhanced from the current limit of Rs 4,500/- to Rs 10,000/- per day per card (It will be operative within the existing overall weekly limit).
(ii) The limit on withdrawal from current accounts has been enhanced from the current limit of Rs 50,000/- per week to Rs 1,00,000/- per week and it extends to overdraft and cash credit accounts also.
There are no changes in the other conditions, the notification said.
