New Farakka Express Derailment: Two children among seven dead; CM Yogi announces ex-gratia
At least seven people were killed and 27 others sustained serious injuries after six coaches, including the engine of the New Delhi-Malda New Farakka Express, derailed in Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli on Wednesday morning. Of the five dead, at least two were children. All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. NDRF teams from Lucknow and Varanasi have reached the spot to carry out the rescue operation. According to the reports, the incident took place 50 meters from the Harchandpur railway station after the train was diverted on a wrong track. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Cheif Minister Yogi Adityanath took stock of the situation and directed the District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, health authorities and NDRF teams to provide all the possible help.

# Children among the dead: Of the five dead, at least two were children. Reports say as many as 20 people sustained serious injuries. They were receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
