Strong tremours woke people in Delhi and NCR on Thursday morning at 4.30 am. According to reports the earthquake measured 4.2 on Richter Scale and lasted for about 3 to 4 seconds. 

The reports suggest that the epicentre of the earthquake was Bhawal in Haryana and is located 88 km from National Capital New Delhi. 

Electricity was snapped in some parts of the capital, only to be restored within an hour.

No reports of loss of property or life so far. More details on earthquake awaited. 

Delhi NCR comes under a high earthquake sensitivity zone. 

Sprining into action immidiately after the earthquake, Twitterati was the first to react on the tremours. 

While some Twitter users termed the earthquake an alarm from God, others saw it as a reminder to go and stand in ATMs queues early. Here are some tweet reactions on the earthquake in Delhi:
