Some Parts Of Odisha Shall Be Under The Grip Of Heavy Rainfall Coupled With Gusty Surface Wind Till Thursday Owing To A Low Pressure Which Looms Over The Bay Of Bengal Area. Fishermen Have Been Issued A Warning To Not Venture Into The Sea Along The South Odisha Coast As Its Condition Would Be Rough.
Some parts of Odisha shall be under the grip of heavy rainfall coupled with gusty surface wind till Thursday owing to a low pressure which looms over the Bay of Bengal area. Fishermen have been issued a warning to not venture into the sea along the South Odisha coast as its condition would be rough.As per the meteorological department report, a low pressure area over Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal has shifted over the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining areas of Jharkhand.The low pressure shall serve as the catalyst for rain or thundershower expected over north Odisha and at a few places over south Odisha during till tomorrow. The weather phenomenon is likely to trigger heavy rainfall at one or two places over districts of interior Odisha till tomorrow. High velocity surface wind from Northwesterly direction with speeds gusting up to 65 KMPH would prevail along and off the South Odisha coast.
