The passage of Goods and Service Tax (GST) bill was hailed by politicians and bureaucrats after the Lok Sabha paved way for its implementation.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said it was a significant step forward in the direction of tax reform. He said the nation is going to transform into a new system of indirect taxation.

“With Lok Sabha having approved all four laws that Centre is supposed to legislate through Parliament, I think significant step forward has been taken,” he said.

Union Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia on Wednesday said that the business people will have all clarity about the new law and rules before three months of its implementation.
