An FIR has been registered against Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit in Hussainganj police station for making comments against Army chief Bipin Rawat.

Dikshit had dubbed him “goon on the street” which had led an outrage and ruling party BJP had demanded his expulsion from Congress party.

Despite Dikshit had offered his apology in the matter, he drew ire of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi who had disapproved Dikshit's likening Army Chief General Bipin Rawat to a "goon on the street", had said it was "absolutely wrong".

Gandhi had said the Indian Army works for the country and there was no need for any political leader to make comments against the Army chief.

"People should not make any comments against the Army chief. I want to make it clear that the Indian Army works for us, it protects India. There is no need for any political leader to make comments against the Army chief," he had said.
