At least 12 people including 4 school children were killed when a bus rammed into an auto-rickshaw in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh district on Tuesday.
The bus overturned after the accident leaving several passengers injured.
About eight critically injured people have been admitted to a government hospital in the district.
Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced Rs 2 lakh compensation for each of the family of the deceased.
