Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan says he will work to improve bad roads in state
“Would Like To Re-emphasize That Some Of The Roads In Madhya Pradesh Are Actually Very Good,' He Said.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday clarified his statement over comparison of state roads with US streets, saying that the government will work to improve the bad roads in the state but a US study says that 92% roads of Washington DC are not in good condition.
Slamming Congress for politicising the issue, Chouhan said it was said that the grand old party sent pictures of bad roads to US President and demanded action against him.
“Would like to re-emphasize that some of the roads in Madhya Pradesh are actually very good,” he said.
Chouhan had caused a flutter when he had told a business round-table, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum in Washington, that roads in Madhya Pradesh were better than those in the US.
